So it's almost that time of year again. The anual summer conventions of the American Council of the Blind and National Federation of the Blind will be taking place in Louisville KY and Dallas TX respectively at the beginning of July. Is anyone planning on attending either of them? I'll hopefully be in Louisville with the ACB, and it'd be really cool to meet up with anyone else there for a bit of a zoners get-together.
I believe I wcll be in Dallas, because i'm going in that general direction in may.
I'll be in Dallas, because I live in the state. I really want to go to an ACB one, someday! But yeah, great idea! I'd like to meet some Zoners in person.
I'll be in Louisville, for sure. If anyone wants to meet up, even if it's just to say hi, I'm sure we can arrange something. A decent get together of zoners isn't a bad idea either, if there'llbe enough of us.

WOOT, can't wait to finally meet you and the pup John! I was on the NABS site yesterday and it looks like there's a bunch of really interesting student activities lined up, aside from all the other cool and informative stuff they'll have down there.
I'll definitely be in dallas as well. you guys should come see the play put on by the LCB.
i might be going to to the NFB one depending on what they say about scholarships. i applied for a couple, and one thing they do is to pay for transportation out to the convention. i'd love to go there, all the technology and all... *drools.

Hey guys. I'm gonna be in Nashville TN and I'm trying to get to Kentucky for ACB's convention. I need 2 things. 1: a ride, and 2: a couple of people who wouldn't mind letting me crash on their floor. I will be attending the NFB convention in Dallas! This will be my third convention (the second in Dallas) and I am definitley looking forward to getting together with friends and spending hours in the exhibit hall! Hopefully I will see some of you there! Also, for any of you who may be attending, you may want to consider going to the Says You Challenge put on by the Human Services Division and hosted by me and a friend, which is based on National Public Radio's game show program "Says You. You will get the chance to learn many interesting facts (and hopefully have a few good laughs) as you watch contestants being resented with word bluffs, puzzles and trivia. I planned to go with a friend, but she's cancelled now, and I can't afford the room rates on my own! I'm very disappointed; I'd been looking forward to it all year! Anyone need a roommate? I'm quiet and have no dog. *grin*

I might be going to the NFB one in Dallas, depends if I get the money before the whole thing, but if i don't go this year, i'll definetely go next year.

well, looks like i'm not going myself which makes me mad. i've been trying to go to one of these, doesn't matter what one, for over 3 years now.

I wish I could go to ACB, but time and finances are conspiring against me, as usual.
Unfortunately I am not going to the nfb convention this year. I did go last year and had so much fun... Anyone wannt front my cost to go? Lolz, I live in the state, I jsut don't have the money to fly there now like I had planned, sighs.

Wish I could be in Dallas, but don't have the money for it this year. Oh well. I was there in 2006, and while I like Convention, I don't like that hotel one bit.
Also, Rongirl17, both Conventions are going to be streamed live on the Internet, so if you're interested in technology, you could listen to any of the general sessions that talk about it. It's not as good as being at either convention and going through the exhibit hall, but it's better than nothing.
